Dr. Lingqian Chang is currently full professor of School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering at Beihang University. He co-founded the Institute of Single Cell Engineering at the same university. He was a former assistant professor (tenure track) of Biomedical Engineering at University of North Texas (UNT), USA. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Ohio State University (OSU) in 2016. His research interests are in the fields of single-cell gene transfection technology and cell micro-manipulation technology for cellular gene analysis and treatment.
He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, mostly on high-impact journals in the fields of Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnologies, such as Nature Nanotechnology, Nano Letters, Trends in Biotechnology, Small, Nanoscale, Lab on a Chip and so on, with >1200 citations. His innovation on these nanotechnologies has filed 3 US Patents (2 Provisional) and more than 5 Chinese Patents, and has spin out one company in China. He has received a couple of recognizable awards and honors, including “Young 1000 Talent Program of China”, “Outstanding Young Investigator of Microsystem and Nanoengineering Summit 2018”, “RSG Award of University of North Texas”, “Presidential Fellowship of Ohio State University” among others. He currently serves Associate Editors or Editorial Board on several peer-review journals, such as Biomedical Engineering Online, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Electroporation Protocol. |
